Mohd Raime Ramlan
... likes the idea of being in the middle of the tropical rainforest, inhaling the fresh smell of the morning dew or staring straight at the Titiwangsa mountainous range hidden behind the clouds before sunset.
Starting of as an enjoyable pastime, his love of photography blossomed a few years ago when the standard layman camera with automatic settings ceased to satisfy him, thus begun the affair with an Olympus 500, along with a selection of Zuico Digital lenses. Engages colour photography more against black and white, images of the natural world attracts him.
Raime then combined his studying days’ hobby of mountain hiking and outdoor trips with photography as a way to capture the breathtaking scenes of nature and to share it with family and friends back home. Based in Kedah, one of the northern states of Malaysia, he has conquered most of the peaks in the country including Tahan (2,187m) and Kinabalu (4,095m), one of the highest peak in South East Asia.
He now lectures Accounting at the College of Business, Northern University of Malaysia (UUM) while juggling his passion for photography and the affection of his lovely wife and 2 kids.
